Translation of the Parliamentary Procedure Study Questions into Persian

Monday 2 November 2015

Tْhe National Association of Parliamentarians has developed 300 study questions for its membership examination. The Office of Workshops for Teaching Robert’s Rules of Order translated these questions into Persian and posted them here.

These study questions cover the basic points of parliamentary procedure as defined in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised and considered necessary for an individual to participate effectively in an organization.

Robert’s Rules of Order are well known in the civilized world, but it is first time that are learning in Iran and it seems that will be welcomed.

The acronym from "Workshops for Teaching Robert’s Rules of Order" (in Persian: Kargah haye Amoozeshh e Dastoornameh ye Robert) is KADR which its pronunciation looks like Cadre, that in English means "a nucleus of trained personnel around which a larger organization can be built and trained". And it is exactly the main objective of these workshops: Training Cadres who could be able to build up large democratic and professional organizations and societies based upon parliamentary law and professional codes of ethics.

The document has been translated by Saman Asrpouran and Parham Rezai who are members of the Iranian Society of Parliamentary Literature Writers and Translators that established in Tehran recently.
