Teaching Robert’s Rules of Order to the Iranin homeowners’ associatons

For the first time in Iran the meeting of the members of a homeowners’ association took pale on Friday December 4, 2015, in Tehran, conducted its proceedings according to the parliamentary procedure as described in Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised 10th edition.

Owners of every housing and commercial complex form automatically a homeowner association (HOA), whether incorporated or not. Therefore, there are thousands of HOAs in Iran potentially, but actually none of them is activated, because in Iran nobody knows parliamentary procedure and so they cannot work together effectively. But the Persian translator of Roberts’ Rules of Order taught these rules to his neighbors gradually during conducting their meetings and now they can work together very effectively.

After this excellent experience, the first Iranian parliamentary educator who teaches Roberts’ Rules of Order decided to teach these rules to the homeowners associations. He also writes down his experiences and publishes them in Farsi here.
